| Bradford E. Kistler
Brad Kistler has over a quarter century of experience in the practice of transportation law. He
has represented numerous motor carriers before federal, state, and Canadian provincial administrative
agencies as well as in federal and state courts. Brad's transportation practice includes carrier licensing,
motor carrier safety, employment/personnel matters, loss and damage claims, and litigation of
transportation-related disputes. He has also represented shippers in their dealings with transportation
companies, particularly in connection with transportation contracts, loss and damage claims, and
defense of undercharge claims.
Brad also engages in a general administrative law and business litigation practice. He
represents many nonprofit organizations, particularly those engaged in providing low-cost housing for
elderly and disabled citizens.
Brad earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1971 and
received his juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1973. He is admitted to
practice before the Supreme Court of Nebraska, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, and
the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit. He is a member
of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the American Bar Association (Section of Public Utility,
Communication, and Transportation Law), the Lincoln Bar Association, and the Transportation
Lawyer's Association.
Brad is a member and past president of the ARC (formerly Association for Retarded Lincoln
Citizens) of Lincoln/Lancaster County, where he currently serves on the board of directors. He is also a
past president of the ARC of Nebraska. Brad is a member of the board of directors of the Nebraska
Trucking Association. He is a member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, the Lincoln Executive
Club, and a former director of the Lincoln Jaycees and the Lincoln Transportation Club.
Brad and his wife, Linda, have four children. He enjoys Nebraska football and gardening.
